About

Hello, I'm Stephanie. I am a graduate of Youngstown State University with my bachelor's degree in graphic design.

I have always been interested in the Japanese art of origami. I have been folding creating and modifying templates for as long as I can remember. If it was made of paper I thought it was very interesting. I am fascinated by puzzles and creating something you have to take a second look at. This fostered a love of packaging. All of my portfolio contains unique solutions for difficult packaging problems. Many of my kinetic packaging designs have an awe factor in seeing the design to seeing the design transform into a new shape.

The Novo K-cup variety pack package design is a selection of different flavor coffee. The design is kinetic and rotates to make the persons morning more joyful. Before someone has their morning coffee they are often grumpy. I chose to use shades of brown to represent coffee color. The moving element of the packing is a unique element that makes the viewer want to hold it.

The granola packaging is unique in that it moves in a very unexpected way. It contains boxes that then fold over until it is back to the original position. This is targeted towards an active audience. This can be changed to fit in the space of a cube or in the space of a rectangle.  I think of the limited space while backpacking.
